About
Hej!
I'm Lina, an illustrator based in Sweden with a BFA degree from Beckmans College of Design.
My inspiration can come from anywhere at any time. It can be from something I’ve seen, an idiom I find funny or even from an argument of how you slice your cheese.
I try to always carry a sketchbook with me, along a few curated art supplies. I regard the sketchbook as one of the most important tools in my process, it is a place for testing ideas, experimenting and learning. Almost all of my illustrations begin as a small, often messy, drawing in my sketchbook.
Most of my finished illustrations are made or retouched with digital mediums. My main tools is an iPad accompanied with the app Procreate. I also use Abode softwares such as Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
I also work with a variety of traditional mediums, ranging from watercolour and acrylics to screen printing and linocut. If I make a finished illustration with traditional mediums I always find myself returning to my three favourites, watercolour, gouache and coloured pencil. I love how well they work together and how they can bring textures and subtle variations to an illustration.
